DC Stadium
Washtington, DC
Preparing the way for a new DC baseball stadium involved removal of asbestos and HAZMAT from
34 buildings plus demolition of 300,000 square feet of buildings in a six-block area in
southeast DC. By the time the project was completed, FL/WCA had dismantled and relocated
a working asphalt plant and had razed more than 34 structures, including a number of
low-rise industrial steel-frame buildings, a few residential properties, and auto storage
yards. The work was completed on a fast-track schedule of 11 weeks.
