HAZMAT Remediation Lorton Prison Lorton, VA In order to complete demolition of 39 buildings at the District of Columbia Department of Corrections facility in Lorton, Wrecking Corp. had to remove asbestos, PCB and other hazardous materials from 700,000 square feet of the site. Wrecking Corp. was contracted to remove the buildings within the central security portion of the former prison. The buildings removed included 200- and 400-bed security jails, maintenance buildings, vocational education buildings, guard towers, and underground tunnels.
