Historic Preservation The Old Hecht Company 7th and F Streets, NW Washington DC This was a multi-discipline site for Wrecking Corporation requiring daily scheduling to coordinate all the different scopes of work. The emphasis was on preserving the original Hecht's Building and the adjacent historic brick facades. We gutted the Hecht Building to the shell, performed massive amounts of structural demolition to reconfigure the core, razed the surrounding buildings and excavated to four levels below grade for the new building.
